The Life Cycle of a Snowy Owlish  Eggs: Female Snowy owls lay 5-8 eggs at a time and the incubation period (when the mother sits on them) lasts 22-24 days. The nest has no insulating material to keep the snow-white eggs warm, which tend to be 3 inches high and 1 1/2 inches wide.  Chicks: Eventually, the eggs hatch revealing a group of chicks, which are covered in snowy white fuzz. Both parents hunt for them as they remain in the nest until they are 14-26 days old. When that time comes, (they still cannot fly) the parents  continue to feed them until they can fend for themselves.

The fifth stage of a parrot's young life is the juvenile stage. This is when parrots gain independence from pare...
